My purpose is to cultivate strong people, starting here in the USVI🏝️
My grandparents fled China during its communist revolution, then rebuilt and remarried as citizens of Taiwan. Along with my parents, they immigrated to Provo, Utah, where I was born, and then relocated to Flushing, Queens, New York. We set up shop, in Vancouver, Canada before I turned 5 years old.
Since the beginning of my culinary career, exploration of the urban farming frontier underscores a continued history of demonstrating high agency; 20 years of cumulative insight by way of collaboration with bleeding edge taste makers and brands. Starting as a dishwasher in 2003, I now have over 15 years of experience as a Michelin level cook, chef and culinary creative; and over 13 years of management acuity in the Crypto, Cannabis and AgriTech industries.
I am grateful for family, the adoptive nations, cultures, and people I've encountered for helping me become the husband, farmer, chef, and leader that I am today. With my wife Reanne, I am currently founding my fourth AgriTech startup, Crucian Farms. I will forever be committed to a life of crafting cuisine that optimizes microbiome vitality for body, mind, and spirit.
